Practice Information

Helen Toloza started at the firm in 2020. She is passionate about advocating for unions and workers’ rights. Helen’s practice focuses on representing labor organizations in arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, organizing campaigns, and other union matters. She also represents professionals, including educators, in licensure investigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Helen was a summer associate at a union-side labor law firm in Los Angeles where she assisted attorneys with class actions, NLRB hearings, and arbitrations. Before law school, Helen worked with food and restaurant worker centers advocating to improve the lives and communities of food system workers. Additionally, Helen worked as a union organizer focusing on organizing hospital cafeteria and valet workers.

Helen attended law school at the University of Oregon and attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where she studied Global Information and Social Enterprise Studies. Helen is a Los Angeles native and is fluent in Spanish. She comes from a family of butchers from La Paz, El Salvador.
