Our lawyers represent multi-employer trust funds (also known as Taft-Hartley trusts, ERISA trust funds or labor-management employee benefit plans) as collection counsel throughout the Northwest. Multi-employer trust funds are trusts administered jointly by employers and labor unions that receive contributions from employers pursuant to collective bargaining agreements and then provide fringe benefits to represented workers. These trusts play an important role in ensuring that unionized workers receive excellent health care, pensions and other benefits. When employers fail to pay their required contributions to these funds, our attorneys represent the funds in recovering unpaid contributions from employers. We pursue collection of unpaid contributions informally and through litigation in court under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and the Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA).
